The company
Retsina Malamatina is a white resinated wine that sets itself apart from others thanks to its long history and authentic Greek taste. The Malamatinas family has been producing retsina for over 121 years now. Produced from some of the finest grape varieties of the Greek vineyard, Savatiano and Roditis, Retsina Malamatina gains a vibrant gold color and a taste all its own. The beneficial qualities of pine resin added in the wine have been known since the ancient times and give it its unique flavor. In addition, retsina is labeled a “traditional appellation of a protected origin” by the European Union, a label given to products made according to traditional methods of a particular region or country. Retsina Malamatina is enjoyed across the globe with an increasing export sales rate. Malamatina has three wineries and is one of the largest wine bottling plants in Europe, maintaining prices at respectable levels.
