The company

The Greek State established, in 1996, the company “Egnatia Odos S.A.” in order to deal with the construction of modern Egnatia which was a very demanding mega-project with an exceptionally high number of technical, geotechnical, environmental and other difficulties but also to accelerate the construction programme. The registered offices of the company are located at Thessaloniki-Greece. The firm also maintains branch offices in Tirana (Albania), Bucharest (Romania) and Beograd (Serbia).

The objectives of the Company are to design, manage, supervise, construct, maintain, organize, equip and operate the Egnatia Motorway axis from Igoumenitsa to Kipi. Apart from the mainline, “Egnatia Odos S.A.” is responsible for the management of the design and construc-tion of its vertical axes and the road network generally connecting or servicing, directly or indirectly, the above netwrok, as well as other works in Greece or abroad.
