The company

Cretel S.A. produces and standardizes Cretan olive oil, using new technology machines. The company standardizes extra virgin olive oil (acidity 0,1-0,8%) under the trade names Glafkos and Liostasi, and virgin olive oil (acidity 1,0-1,5%) under the trade name Metochi. In 2002, the company won the Gold Award of Quality Summit in New York. At present, the company is beginning the process of ISO and HACCP certification. Also, there is new emphasis on standardization for faster production, because of the needs of the markets where it sells its olive oil.
