The membership base of SEVE includes more than 800 active and dynamic exporting companies and business groups throughout the Greek territory constituting a total of 55 billion euro turnover, with 80.000 employees and 30 billion euro export turnover, corresponding to 50% of the Greek exports.<\/p>\n<p>SEVE\u2019s mission is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to consolidate, protect and promote the professional, economic, social and ethical interests of its members<\/li>\n<li>to promote and support Greek products and services in foreign markets<\/li>\n<li>to promote and support the development of international co-operation between Greek enterprises and those of other countries<\/li>\n<li>to conduct market research in foreign countries<\/li>\n<li>to collect and disseminate information and statistical data in order to inform its members<\/li>\n<li>to cooperate with organisations worldwide, and<\/li>\n<li>to implement European programmes that sustain the economic interests of its members. SEVE has successfully implemented a significant number of projects throughout the past years and has a vast experience in EU and national funded projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SEVE\u2019s prevailing philosophy is to provide consistent quality services and creative solutions regarding export issues to Greek extrovert companies. Also, SEVE plays a crucial role as State Counselor on issues of extroversion and competitiveness.<\/p>\n<p>SEVE designs and organizes training \u2013 seminars and coaching \u2013 targeted to University graduates, businessmen, personnel of extrovert companies and unemployed covering fields that prevail in international trade, such as export marketing, export procedures, electronic commerce, INCOTERMS, payment procedures, participation at exhibitions abroad and others.<\/p>\n<p>In 1990, SEVE established the Institute of Export Research and Studies (\u0399\u0395RS), which performs the following functions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>monitor and analyse short-term international trade trends, especially\u00a0focused on Greece and the EU-27<\/li>\n<li>provide reliable and continuously updated information about particular\u00a0sectors and markets<\/li>\n<li>undertake sponsored and commissioned research projects on\u00a0international trade issues<\/li>\n<li>cooperate with research institutions within Greece and abroad<\/li>\n<li>organize International Trade Conferences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Association is a member of BUSINESSMED, Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises<strong>, <\/strong>the main representative of the private sector that reflects the interest of 25 Confederations of Enterprises from States members of the Union for the Mediterranean \u2013 UfM and is awarded the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality Assurance Certificates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Greek Exporters Association-SEVE was established in 1975 as a non-profit organization and is currently the largest association of exporting companies in Greece.
